Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

  • At our first appointment together, we will complete an assessment. This allows for me to get to know you better and have a better understanding of your history. This allows us to explore what you’d like to work on in therapy. Following that each session usually starts with a bit of time spent on how the previous week was to address any current stressors, then the remaining session time is spent on establishing skills to develop your nervous system capacity, and processing through the root causes of your issues. Each session, we follow the need of how you show up in the room.

  • My extensive training is in Trauma resolution - my niche is working with Adults to address childhood relational trauma which may be experiences of neglect in childhood, experiencing abuse in the home as a child, seeing addiction in your household, etc. Childhood Relational Trauma often manifests as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Substance Use. My training leads me to this definition of trauma, “Anything less than nurturing”….which means you get to decide what that means for you and your story.

  • I have formal training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Post Induction Therapy (PIT), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). Below you’ll find more information on what each of those therapies are, and I often end up using a blend of all of them.

  • 50 min sessions - $175

    80min sessions - $280

I also offer EMDR Intensives - See below for more information

EMDR Intensives

  • EMDR Intensives are such a beautiful theraputic tool to relieve symptoms quicker than seeing a therapist 1x weekly. Though EMDR intensives are best suited for people who have some stability present, feel they have good coping skills to manage overwhelm. EMDR Intensives are longer than what a typical weekly session session would be, anywhere from 3-6 hours or longer depending on the individuals needs and goals.

EMDR Intensives are a great option for individuals who might already be getting treatment with a therapist who may not be EMDR trained though would like to incorporate EMDR into their healing experience. Intensives are effective in processing a single incident event such as a car accident, assault, injury, etc. It is also effective with relational trauma, such as experiences of neglect as a child, parenting parents, unsafe environments, emotional and physical abuse, etc.

  • If you would like to see me as your regular therapist, and we utilize EMDR in your weekly or biweekly appts you will be able to develop skills on a larger scale, across time we are able to more closely explore relational dynamics from your family of origin and how those may manifest in your life today, develop larger capacity in your nervous system.

EMDR intensives are structured and focused on just utilizing EMDR to address the target issue (assault, betrayal in a relationship, a loss, lack of safety in childhood, etc) and we are not diving as deeply into relational patterns if it doesn’t have to do with your target issue. With my EMDR Intensives - I provide the client with a workbook that includes reflection assignments to aid in the continued processing, nervous system regulation tools, education about the autonomic nervous system and how it impacts your mental health.

  • 3 hrs - $570

    6hrs - $1,152

You can schedule a single session of 3-6hrs, or stagger out a couple 3-6hr Intensive sessions over the span of a few weeks or months. If you’re looking for a whole weekend of diving into your healing, there is flexibility to have a 2-day intensive. Each day ranging from 3-6 hours based on the individual need.

Therapy Approaches

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from painful past wounds that result in the symptoms we know to be PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, etc. EMDR therapy is an eight-phase treatment, and research shows that EMDR provides a reduction in symptoms much faster than traditional talk therapies. Intellectually you may know something to be true, but often the feeling inside doesn’t match. EMDR allows your felt sense to match what you know intellectually. Leading to a feeling of being more balanced.

  • Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing (SE™) is a body-oriented therapeutic model for healing trauma and other stress disorders. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine. SE provides the basic natural healing and core nervous system skills to reprocess the past and better navigate the future. It helps clients attune to what's happening in their bodies, slow down and pause fast energies, wake up and balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Learning to consciously titrate gives clients a boost in self-awareness, and confidence in their capacity to change and heal.

  • Post Induction Therapy

Post Induction Therapy also known as The Meadows Model, is a groundbreaking approach based on the pioneering work of Meadows Senior Fellow Pia Mellody. The model is an exploration of codependency and how a fracture that occurrs from trauma can lead to mental health or addiction issues. Being that I was a Meadows Primary Therapist, I subscribe to the same definition of trauma as Pia Mellody. She says trauma is “anything less than nurturing”. There are 5 core issues within the model, and explore how our inner child and inner teenager may be getting in the way of living the life we want to live.

  • Other Therapies

I am classically trained in EMDR, SE, and PIT. They are the primary therapies I utilize in sessions. Although those three therapies are my primary, I also integrate features of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). IFS was developed my Richard Schwartz PhD and work with the many parts that make up who you are, exploring the roles and relationships between the parts. NARM was developed by Laurence Heller PhD, and this model explores the patterns of disconnection and strategies that deeply affect our identity, emotions, physiology, behavior and relationships.
